Finish the starting repairs, check fuel, sit in the pilot seat and hold M. Release the parking brake, add throttle with Shift, then use a small S input to lift the nose once the plane has built speed.

The sequence below is beginner guidance assembled from the official game description and published controls. Landing technique is an editorial recommendation, not a measured aircraft performance test.

01

Finish repairs before you taxi

Follow the starting tutorial and its part-placement prompts. Look around the aircraft for unfinished attachments, then inspect the fuel indication. The official game description makes repairs and fuel part of getting airborne; simply sitting in a plane does not establish that it is ready.

Before moving on: You can identify the pilot seat, fuel indication and any remaining repair prompts.
02

Sit down and start the engine

Aim at the pilot seat and use E. Hold M for ignition. Then check the engine response and the cockpit indicators before adding power. If M appears to do nothing, work through the starting checks instead of repeatedly pressing different keys.

Before moving on: The engine responds before you begin the takeoff sequence.

Engine silent? Check the starting sequence.

03

Make room for the takeoff run

Choose a clear, straight stretch ahead. Check the parking brake state with P and increase power with Shift. Keep the aircraft aligned as it begins to roll. These are preparation checks, not a guarantee that every surface or damaged aircraft can support a takeoff.

Before moving on: The aircraft rolls forward without an obstacle immediately ahead.

Running but not rolling? Check these inputs.

04

Lift the nose gently

Let the aircraft build speed before using S to pitch upward. Ease the input once the nose rises. W lowers the nose; holding it as if it were a walking control works against your climb. No tested takeoff speed is available for this guide, so use the aircraft response rather than an invented number.

Before moving on: You are airborne with enough space to make small corrections.
05

Settle into a manageable flight

Use short inputs while learning the response: A and D bank the aircraft, while Q and E operate the rudder. Avoid stacking large corrections while close to the ground. V provides an outside camera if the cockpit view makes orientation difficult. Keep an eye on your fuel and choose your next stop before you urgently need it.

Before moving on: You know which control caused the change you see.
06

Plan a shallow approach and a full stop

Our beginner recommendation is to choose open ground early, line up before descending and reduce power with Ctrl in stages. Use small pitch corrections and keep the wings level. After ground contact, reduce power and use B to slow; set the parking brake when stopped. There is no verified universal landing speed or stopping distance here.

Before moving on: The aircraft is fully stopped before you leave the seat or handle parts.

Give yourself a second attempt

If your approach feels rushed, choose more space while you still have room to correct it. Our recommendation is to practise the basic controls before attempting a tight landing beside a building. This guide does not promise that any particular road, speed or aircraft condition will produce a safe landing.

Keep the keyboard reference nearby until pitch, power and brakes feel like separate decisions.
